CML guests raised £8,000 for charity working in Haiti

CML guests raised £8,000 for charity working in Haiti

The CML’s chosen charity, Habitat for Humanity, is running an emergency appeal for donations to support its work in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti.

Habitat for Humanity has been successfully working to tackle housing poverty since 1976, and has been building homes in Haiti for 26 years. It says it intends to be there for the long term, helping families whose homes were lost to get back into safe, decent, affordable housing.

Habitat for Humanity - donate now

The CML has been supporting Habitat for Humanity for a number of years and is pleased to announce that its annual dinner last December raised more than £8,450 for the charity.

In addition, more than 100 dinner guests expressed an interest in support Habitat for Humanity’s outdoor team event, Hope Challenge.

Habitat for Humanity is now working in more than 90 countries around the world and has so far built 300,000 homes in partnership with local people.
